Welcome to Week 4: Experiment!

This final week is designed to help you communicate scientific ideas clearly and effectively. You will apply what you have learned throughout the DIVE program by preparing and presenting a five-minute talk on a scientific topic that interests you.

Please feel free to contact us at info@open-discovery.com with any questions, concerns, or requests for feedback. We are happy to help as you prepare for the Final Symposium.

To complete Week 4:

1) Email your presentation topic to info@open-discovery.com by Wednesday, August 5 at 11:59 EDT. As a reminder, your presentation may take the form of a literature review, experiment proposal, or computational/data exploration.

2) Attend a mentor office-hours session, if you would like feedback or assistance with your presentation:

3) Submit your presentation slides and any additional presentation materials to Google Classroom by Friday, August 7, at 11:59 PM EDT.

4) Present at the DIVE Final Symposium on Saturday, August 8. Each student will have five minutes to present, followed by two minutes of questions and answers. The specific schedule will be sent out closer to the symposium date. Google Meet:

5) If you would like to be featured as part of the 2026 Summer DIVE Cohort on the Open Discovery website and social media, complete the student profile permission form with a parent or guardian by Saturday, August 8, at 11:59 PM EDT:
